Google announced on its blog (January 26th, 2017) that they want to help us find a parking spot. Twenty-five metro cities in the United States will see a “parking difficulty” icon on the Google Maps app for their Android phone. Their goal is to let drivers know how difficult it is to find parking at their destination so they can plan their time wisely. Parking difficulty ratings will include limited, medium, and easy categories based on the historical parking data the app is referencing.
We’re looking forward to seeing how it goes. If you live in any of the locations where this is rolling out, let us know how you’re liking it.
